On Saturday October 10, 2009, 294 runners took part in the first Fall Colors 
Bridge Race in Mackinaw City. Runners were bussed from race headquarters, 
St. Anthony's Parish in Mackinaw City, to the race start in St. Ignace. The 
race had a staggered start so all runners were not together on the bridge. The 
south bound lane of the bridge was closed to accommodate runners. The run
provided spectacular scenery, breath taking views and an awesome sunrise. The 
run finished at race headquarters where runners were treated to a buffet breakfast.
