Flynn takes Bronze while Peters earns two top-5 Finishes

Nineteen members of the Sault Athletic Club traveled to York University to participate in the prestigious Royal Canadian Legion Provincial Indoor Track and Field Championships held on February 11th. The group tallied an impressive 12 top-10 finishes against some of the best young athletes the province has to offer.

Julien Flynn claimed the bronze medal in the under-15 girls 3000m (11:50.62) while Nick Peters continued to flourish this indoor season finishing 5th in the under-17 boys 50m (6.39) and 200m (24.31).

Other top-ten performances include:

Jesse Wetzl - 4th (15&U Triple Jump – 10.75m)

Alexis Shamess - 6th (15&U 400m – 1:04.81)

Alexis Shamess - 7th (15&U 800m – 2:37.53)

Jessica Nanne - 7th (17&U 400m – 1:03.90)

Nathan Bouliane 7th (17&U Triple Jump – 10.13m)

Shannon Delarosbil – 8th (17&U 800m – 2:40.60)

Thomas Peer – 8th (15&U 400m – 1:01.97)

Rhiannon Johns – 9th (17&U 1500m – 5:26.54)

Sarah Muncaster – 9th (17&U 800m – 2:41.16)

The Sault Athletic Club will participate in two more indoor meets at LSSU before traveling to Windsor for the Ontario Track and Field Association Indoor Championships in March.
